How the Custom Design Service Works
The Julia B. Couture Service is a unique offering through which you have the opportunity to engage directly with Julia in the design and commission of a truly one-of-a kind set of home products to be personally designed by Julia B. and subsequently handmade by the fabulous Julia B. artisans. There are no limits to what this service can include. The process literally starts with a “blank canvas” and from there you and Julia will define together this new one of a kind collection.
This personalized service offering commences with a 1:1 telephone / video briefing (the use of Skype or WhatsApp or Face Time or Zoom for sharing images etc. is encouraged) with Julia. The purpose of this initial briefing is to discuss the objectives of your project and to share any taste and preference information. This telephone / video briefing can be followed up by in-home visits (or video conference), with Julia for two personalized design consultation sessions lasting up to 3 hours each. A few weeks later this will then be followed up by the presentation and subsequent approval of designs, followed by production and delivery to you of the products themselves.
It is important to note, each of these products will be personally designed by Julia and handmade by our Julia B. artisans. Typically the resulting designs would be for your exclusive use and not be re-produced for anyone. From time to time Julia may ask if you would like to have your designs become part of one of her collections for all the world to see and enjoy.

The design development fees for your personalized, one-of-a-kind “Julia B. Collection” will vary depending on the materials selected, the complexity of the design, and the production methods chosen to create these exclusive pieces.
Each Couture Project will include a complete set of paper and/or digital designs, including fabric as well as ceramic or crystal or silver samples for each selected product.
