Fabric & Embroidery Threads
Our cotton embroidery threads come from France and are color fast. Ourcotton percale and cotton piquet fabrics come to us from purveyors of the highest quality fabric in Italy; our linen fabrics are woven in Eastern Europe and Belgium; our cashmere is milled in Italy and Scotland, and our embroidery and appliqué are crafted entirely by hand in Italy, where the legacy of craftsmanship has been passed down for generations, enabling us to produce what we believe is the finest quality handwork available in the world.
Monograms
Monograms at Julia B. Casa are always hand-embroidered using trapunto and shadow stitch techniques. The finished result resembles old world monograms of the 19th century found in Italian and French vintage linens. We offer a collection of nearly 50 monograms which are all vintage inspired offered in one letter, two letter, and three letter combinations. We encourage multiple colors to be used to create a gorgeous result but there is nothing so simple and elegant like white on white. Monogram renderings are provided free of charge upon order approvals.
Sampling
We are happy to make sample swatches of embroidery styles and monograms to ensure that you are completely happy with your selection. Please inquire at info@juliab.com for fees related to samples as it will vary from case to case.
